This web page is a collection of modifications I performed to my X5 and I hope you find it useful to start work on your own car. Dinan S2 Upgrade
- Stage 4 Transmission Software Upgrade
- Stage 4 Engine Management Software
- High flow throttle body
- Dinan airflowmeter
- Dinan exhaust with factory tips installed
- In addition a modified DME from ///M GmbH has been installed (custom fuel/air field)
- Dyno results are showing an increase to ~377bhp and ~400lb/ft
Audio/DVD/TV system installation
- NAV-TV tuner in factory location
- Display via factory head unit
- Audio in Stereo for DVD via AUX Input and TVonNAV adapter
- Front and rear door speakers have been upgraded with MB Quart QSD 216
- Subwoofer in custom enclosure in right rear panel using JL Audio w6v2 12”
- Phoenix Gold amplifiers
- 500.4 for the front and rear door speaker (4 x 100W)
- 800.1 for the subwoofer (~900W)
- Phoenix Gold capacitor
- DSP integration via custom adapter (hidden under factory mounting location)
- Alpine DVD changer installed in the factory location underneath the factory CD changer
- BMW Factory Bluetooth hands-free kit integrated into the audio system
- BMW Sirius retrofit integrated into the factory head unit and aftermarket stereo system
- iPOD AirClick integration into ///M steering wheel
